The Town of Norwood is having a mail ballot only election for the regularly scheduled election on April 3, 2012. There are two (2) open seats for four (4) years each on the Norwood Board of Trustees. To be eligible to run for these seats, you must be a registered elector who has resided in the Town of Norwood for one year. All persons interested in running for one of these open seats, please stop by the Town Clerk’s office located at 1670 Naturita Street to pick up a nomination packet. The packets are available starting Monday, February 13, 2012, and they must be circulated, signed and turned in to the Town Clerk’s office by 4:30 p.m. on Friday, March 2, 2012. The last day to register to vote is Monday, March 5, 2012. All registered voters will be sent a ballot in the mail and they have the option of sending it back by mail to the Town Clerk, or they can drop off their ballot at the drop box at Norwood Town Hall at 1670 Naturita Street. The hours for dropping off the ballots are 7:30 a.m. to 12 noon and 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday. On Election Day, the drop off box will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. All ballots must be received at the Town Clerk’s office by 7:00 p.m. Election Day, April 3, 2012.
