PUBLIC HEARING – Monday July 18, 2011

The Norwood Planning and Zoning Commission will be holding a public hearing to consider a Preliminary Plat application per Norwood Land Use Code Section 6.05A, Small Scale Subdivisions, from Family Dollar Development of Norwood, LLC, to vacate interior lot lines on the parcel of land consisting of approximately 44,999 sq. ft., located at the intersection of Grand Avenue (Colorado Highway 145) and Mesa Street and owned by Thomas W. and Heather S. Hauser.  The public hearing will be held on Monday, July 18, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Norwood Community Center, 1670 Naturita Street.  A complete application has been filed with the Town Clerk for the public to view prior to the meeting.

The legal description for the land included in the application  is Lots 13 through 24, inclusive, Block 2 East, Town of Norwood, according to the Plat recorded June 26, 1900 in Book 28, Page 17, also referred to as Nix Addition to the Town of Norwood.  Please call the Clerks Office with any questions (970)327-4288.

The Town of Norwood Board of Trustees and the Norwood Planning and Zoning Commission are having a joint work session on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. at the Norwood Community Center located at 1670 Naturita Street, Norwood, Colorado.  This joint work session is being held to discuss possible amendments to the sign regulation per Norwood Land Use Code section 5.06.

The Town of Norwood Planning and Zoning Commission has four (4) positions open for four (4) members and two (2) ex-officio members.  Each position will be for two years.  The members shall reside within the limits of the Town of Norwood, shall be citizens of the United States, and shall be qualified electors of the Town of Norwood.  Ex-officio members shall be non-residents of the Town of Norwood but residents of Wright’s Mesa, and shall also be citizens of the United States and registered voters.  The positions will be appointed by the mayor and ratified by a majority vote of the Board of Trustees.  If you are interested, pleases send a letter of intent to the Town of Norwood Board of Trustees, c/o Gretchen Wells, PO Box 528, Norwood, Colorado  81423.  Letters must be received by May 20, 2011.
