The Town of Norwood and San Miguel County Weed Control Program will be applying herbicides within the Town of Norwood on Tuesday, May 27th through Friday, May 30th, weather permitting. Applications will be made to roads, alleys and other town property. Residents may refuse chemical weed control adjacent to their property by assuming the control efforts themselves. The control need not be chemical, but must control the weeds in an equivalent manner. For property marking supplies and forms assuming responsibility, contact Norwood Town Hall no later than Friday, May 23rd. If weed control is assumed by the landowner and not performed within a reasonable amount of time, the town will again assume the responsibility and the land owner will be charged. Please remove vehicles and equipment from alleys and roadsides wherever possible to allow for treatment. If you have any questions, please call the Norwood Town Hall at 327-4288.
